AMA TAG Grant

Take Off & Grow

In the fall of 2023, BCMA was awarded a $1000 TAG (Take off and Grow) grant to partner with a local middle school STEM program by the AMA!!! Many thanks to the AMA and to District V leadership at the AMA for making this happen.

Looking forward to helping out a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) middle school group design, source materials, build, and ultimately fly a model aircraft (3 actually per semester) for the 2023/24 school year. Club members will mentor the students weekly as they move from building to flying! The goal of the AMA’s TAG program is to engage a live for aviation and modeling within the local community. BCMA is thankful for this partnership with a AMA and our local middle school.

As students progress, we'll be posting updates and photos on the Community Outreach page HERE.

James Coggins earned his wings in the fall of 2022 so, here he is landing his 81" Ultra Stick which he won at our North Georgia Fall Fly-In 23’ eight months ago. James is a very confident, serious and safe pilot, but loves the to have fun flying! View in Full Screen....

Iceman had his Baltic Bee out for a couple of flights on this Beautiful day at Kingston Downs. Great flying 64mm L-39.
